Sound

A quieter kind of power.

Class A throughout

Both output devices conduct across the whole waveform. There is no handover point, so there is no crossover distortion to correct for further down the chain.

Dual mono

Two independent supplies, two independent channels, one chassis. The left channel does not know the right channel exists.

Heat as structure

Class A runs hot by definition. The finned flanks are not a cover over a heatsink. They are the heatsink, and they are the chassis.

Craft

Built one at a time.

The chassis is folded and welded from stainless steel, then hand-finished. The top panel is a single piece of walnut, cut and inlaid over perforated steel so the transformers can breathe.

Inputs are brass RCA, mounted through the rear edge of the wood rather than a stamped back plate. Each corner sits on a stamped cross bracket that lifts the chassis clear of the shelf.

Top panel motif

Four motifs are on the table and none is chosen. The render at right is built with v.1; the buttons record a preference (Speaker v.1 marked), they do not change the photograph. This control comes out of the site once the decision closes.
